Oboist (President of OfficeMINAMI): MINAMI
Minami Shimoba
(Mitaka City, Tokyo) Classical and Jazz oboist. Studied under Takehiko Nitori (former principal oboist of the NHK Symphony Orchestra), G. Schmalfuss and Tsuyoshi Kohno. Has performed as a soloist with many orchestras. Winner of numerous awards in Japan. Also a highly accomplished musician on the saxophone, the bassoon, the clarinet, the flute, and the recorder. Has released three CDs; "Blue Bell"(2006), "Oboe Fantasy"(2007) and "Oboe Nostalgia -Fragment of Time-"(2009).

Graduated from the Osaka University of Foreign Studies. Language: English, German, Korean, and Kansai dialect. Recently enthusiastic for percussion.

Miki Katayama Pianist / Arranger: MIKI
Began to study the piano at age eight. Composed her first piece at age nine. Studied the piano under Kimiko Okabe and Takafumi Ojima. She also plays a blow-organ, Melodica beautifully with her right hand while playing a piano with her left hand at the same time. Member of the oboe and piano duo "MINAMI&MIKI".


Fumie Yamashina Violinist: Fumie Yamashina
Began to study the violin at age three. Graduated from the Musashino College of Music. Studied the violin under Yoko Shiokawa, Chiaki Funayama, Tae Iijima, Kosuke Hagiwara and Georugi Badefu. Instructor of the Yamashina Violin School.


Emi Tanzawa Violinist/violist:Emi Tanzawa
Began to study the violin at age three. Winner of many awards in Japan, attended the concert tour in Eastern Asia as a member of the Asia Youth Orchestra. Studied the violin and viola under Ryosaku Kubota, Yuko Onooka and Azumi Takada. Graduated from the Tokyo Gakugei University. Currently a violinist of the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra.


Chiharu Moriyama Violist:Chiharu Moriyama
Began to study the violin at age five, and the viola at age sixteen. Graduated from the music course of theTokai University and later studied the viola at the Orchestra Academy of Toho Gakuen School Of Music Studied under Michiko Oshima Winner of many awards in Japan.


Mayumi Sano Cellist: Mayumi Sano
Began to study the cello at age fifteen. Graduated from the Musashino College of Music. Winner of award in Japan and China.

MINAMI&MIKI MINAMI & MIKI
Formed in 2006; oboist (multi-reed player) MINAMI, and pianist MIKI. Their fresh healing sounds in unique style (classical, jazz and rock-and-roll) are popular among wide range of audiences. Have released three CDs; "Blue Bell"(2006), "Oboe Fantasy"(2007) and "Oboe Nostalgia -Fragment of Time-"(2009).
